The chart above shows the percentage of Gaddesden Row pupils attaining the new expected standard against the national picture. Our Year 6 cohort in 2016/17 consisted of just 5 pupils. The results for such small year groups need careful analysis, since the usual measures are designed for much larger cohorts. Each pupil in our results is worth 20%. Whereas, in a typical two-form entry school each pupil would represent 1.6%.

For 2017, as for 2016, there were new, more challenging standards for SATs at Key Stage 1 and 2.  Despite these challenges, pupils at Gaddesden Row performed above the national average in every subject except writing, where 2 pupils (40%) were not expected to achieve the expected standard.
